Liberty Village is one of the most-searched rental neighbourhoods in Toronto, and one of the most misunderstood. The same building can have a 1+den listed at $2,800 and another at $3,400, and the difference isn't always obvious from a listing photo. Layout, exposure, parking, locker, building amenities, and how recently the unit was renovated all move the price by hundreds of dollars a month.
If you're new to the area, here's what actually matters. The west side of Liberty Village (closer to Dufferin) tends to rent for less and trades convenience for quiet. The east side (closer to Strachan and the King West border) rents at a premium because of access to King Street, Trinity Bellwoods, and the streetcar. Buildings with direct access to the Metro grocery store, the GoodLife, or the Liberty Market food hall command higher rents. Older buildings (2008–2014 era) often have larger floor plans for the same price as a smaller unit in a newer build.
Most listings online are stale, posted by agents who don't actually work the area, or priced above market because the landlord is testing. The search tool below is filtered live to active Liberty Village rentals only, so what you see is what's actually available.
